Tiny treasure

My latest little purchase, found whilst visiting Wells, is this tiny ribbonwork powder box, probably dating from the 1910's to 20's.
It contains its original swansdown powder puff and has a mirror lining the inside of the lid.
It fits nicely with some of the other 'smalls' in my collection.
I love looking out for treasures like these, as there seems an endless variety to be discovered.
Enjoy your day!

  2. Lovely - having it beside a thimble gives a real perspective on its size. It's amazing things that folks had way back when. I always like think about the previous owner, how they got it, how they used it and the journey it took to get to be mine.
